Opera Universitaria provides two modalities of housing service:

• On campus accommodation, mainly for capable and deserving students without means, through a call for applications, and for Unitrento international mobility students.
• Off campus accommodation, through the TRent portal, for all students who did not apply for a call for applications.

Opera offers students studying in Trento and Rovereto, who meet the requirements set out in the call for applications, the opportunity to live in shared flats or historic buildings in the city.

The structures are places of study, but also of meeting new people, social interaction and multiculturalism. These are spaces for creation, innovation and experimentation, with a focus on the environment and sustainability.

These are places of coexistence and relationships, where people learn to be responsible, respecting common rules.
It is important to read the "Rules for the use of the Opera's housing services" in order to know the indications and rules for peaceful coexistence..

ACCOMMODATION SECTION
Opera Universitaria provides around 1,150 accommodation places for non-resident students in student residences or appartments.
The accommodation is assigned with priority to students who meet the requirements set out in the Call for applications:
economic condition (ISEE and ISPE thresholds)
merit requirements (only for students enrolled in years subsequent to the first year).
There are also places reserved for UniTrento international mobility students.
It is also possible to request accommodation for other students, if there is still availability.
Opera Universitaria accommodations are located in areas from which it is easy to reach the departments, on foot, by bicycle (Bikesharing) or by public transport (Libera circolazione - Trentino Trasporti).

STUDENT RESIDENCE SAN BARTOLAMEO
The student residence San Bartolameo is a university residence, opened in 2008, which counts 830 sleeping places. It is located in the south of Trento in a green area, and offers a quiet international environment that favours studying and social and cultural life.

TRANSPORT
The student residence can be reached from the city centre by bus A (circular bus with terminus in Piazza Dante), 3, 8 and 13, "Verona Questura" stop by train, with urban service ticket (San Bartolameo stop on the Trento-Venice line) by bicycle (bike path from the train station) by car: from Trento south, Madonna Bianca area, following via Menguzzato and viale Verona to the junction on the right with via Malpensada (opposite the Shopping Centre|Health District).

ACCOMMODATIONS
The accommodations, most of which are single rooms with private bathroom, are fully furnished and equipped with wireless internet connection; entrance to the facility and to the rooms is regulated by magnetic badges.
It is possible to use an equipped kitchen (one on each floor), the three gyms (yellow, blue and red) and the reading rooms, as well as all the common areas.
Opera Universitaria cleans the common areas and provides linen (sheets, pillowcase, towel and pillow). Linen is changed every ten days at scheduled hours.
The wireless connection throughout the facility is guaranteed by UniTrento, and works with the same characteristics as the service provided in the University.

STUDENT RESIDENCE MAYER
MAYER Residence, which was completed in 2017, is located in the city centre, close to the railway and near the city's university departments.
The residence was built with fir panels, used to make prefabricated structures which - assembled side by side, as in a huge Lego construction - make up the building: only the two main staircases and the basement, which houses the car park, are made of concrete.
This is Trentino's largest building made entirely of wood: with its five floors, 82 single rooms, 12 double rooms, 7 rooms for people with disabilities and 9 mini-apartments, it can accommodate 130 students.
The lodgings, most of which have a bathroom and balcony, are fully furnished and have an Internet connection; entrance to the building and to the rooms is regulated by magnetic badges.
There is a fully equipped kitchen on each floor and a gym and conference room on the ground floor.
Opera Universitaria provides for the cleaning of the common areas and for the linen (sheets, pillowcase, towel and pillow). Linen is changed every ten days at scheduled hours.
The wireless connection throughout the facility is guaranteed by UniTrento, and works with the same characteristics as the service provided in the University.

TARIFFS
The monthly cost of Opera Universitaria accommodation varies according to the type of user. Students who gain access to accommodation through the Call for Applications, which is published annually in June, are entitled to pay a reduced monthly fee.
Other categories of students/doctoral students who are not eligible for the call for applications may request accommodation in Opera Universitaria facilities, paying a higher rate.
There is an additional fee for lecturers, researchers, post docs, research assistants and scholarship holders with a University grant.

PAYMENTS
All guests living in the facilities of Opera Universitaria receive an email notification when the payment of the rent is due, containing a receipt with the total amount to be paid (notice of payment).
The payment can be made online, choosing between the different methods available, or by presenting the receipt at any bank or at a cash register.
All contracts require the payment of a non-interest-bearing deposit of € 360.00, which is returned at the end of the assignment of the accommodation, and € 40.00 for final check-out costs.
For short periods, linked to study and research reasons, if available, room assignments can be made at a daily cost of € 20.00 for a single room and € 17.00 for a double room.

CHECK-IN
The Accommodation Office confirms to the guests the reservation and the start date of the accommodation assignment.
Check-in instructions:
• on the day of the assignment start date, present yourself with a valid identity document at the Counter in via della Malpensada 140 - Trento, to sign the assignment report
• pick up the keys of the accommodation at the OU desk or directly at the reception in case of allocation in a collective accommodation facility.
To access the counter it is necessary to book an appointment through the Opera4U app. In the case of arrival outside of office hours it is necessary to inform the Housing Office to organise access to the facilities.

CHECK-OUT
The assignment report specifies the expiry date of the accommodation place. Check-out must take place by 10:00 a.m. on the day following the end of the assignment.
Check-out instructions:
• return the accommodation in optimal condition, subject to normal wear and tear, free of personal belongings, clean and tidy
• clear the kitchen and refrigerator of foodstuffs, dishes and utensils, and dispose of any rubbish correctly.
• fill in and hand in the form for the return of the deposit at the Opera Universitaria desk
• return badge/key, blanket, mattress and bedspread cover, pillow, sheets and towels:
• in collective residences, at the reception desk
• in the external flats, at the Opera Universitaria desk (during opening hours) or at the reception desk of the student residence in via Malpensada 140 (also outside opening hours)
• to return the Opera Universitaria bicycle by the date indicated on the report of the bicycle loan service at the Opera Universitaria ticket office during opening hours
• for correspondence, communicate the change of address using the "Seguimi" service of the Italian Post Office, to avoid that your correspondence is sent back to the sender.

MEDIATION OFFICE
The Opera Universitaria facilities welcome more than 1100 students from over 80 different countries every year. In this context, the concept of coexistence varies from person to person.
Supporting and encouraging peaceful coexistence is the driving force behind the decision to open the Mediation Office.
Accommodating such a large number of people does not just mean opening the doors of a room. The Mediation Office offers continuous support to the guests of the facilities throughout their stay, to help create a relaxed climate and a peaceful social life within the facilities. The service is based on the principles of inclusion and tolerance, and on the understanding of different approaches and lifestyles.
Residents of the Opera Universitaria facilities can turn to the Mediation Office at any time: mediators support them in their daily problems, in resolving conflicts, and provide them with the required information or direct them to the relevant offices/agencies.
This service is also responsible for training the residents and giving them the correct information about community life, the management of the facilities and the common good, recycling and the various services offered by Opera Universitaria.

DISABILITY
Opera Universitaria has accommodation available that is accessible to people with disabilities and some accommodation equipped with domotic technology.

of the University of Trento, which, together with Opera Universitaria, assesses which accommodation is best suited to the needs of each student. If necessary, students with disabilities can request accommodation to share with their assistant (who can stay free of charge).
