Every year, Opera Universitaria offers part-time work opportunities within the scope of its institutional activities to students enrolled at the University of Trento, starting from the second year and up to the first year after graduation.
Students can choose the type of activity they wish to carry out from a wide range of proposals in the "Call for applications for part-time collaboration for the academic year 2025-26 - Opera Universitaria": reception, information, and support services for the submission of benefit applications at information desks, administrative activities in offices, verification and control in housing facilities, support for the organization and implementation of activities and cultural events promoted by the Entity, collaboration in the field of Mediation services, fire safety support services at the S. Bartolameo and Mayer Student Residences, supervision and control services in the gyms of the S. Bartolameo Student Residence (red gym and yellow gym), concierge service at the Mayer Student Residence. Opera may involve students who have participated in the "Call for applications for part-time collaboration for the academic year 2025-26 (University of Trento)" in specific activities related to projects promoted by various departments of the institution. - Annex 5 - Specialist activities' who were eligible in the ranking and have a curriculum vitae and/or skills spe cific skills.
The duration of collaborations with Opera varies from a minimum of 150 to a maximum of 200 hours, with the exception of sector “B - mediation” and collaborations relating to “specialist activities,” for which a maximum of 350 hours may be envisaged for specific service requirements.
The hourly rate, which is exempt from personal income tax pursuant to Legislative Decree No. 68 of March 29, 2012, is determined in relation to the type of collaboration envisaged and may vary from a minimum of € 6.00 to a maximum of € 9.00.
Part-time collaboration, which requires compulsory attendance and passing the final tests of online courses on Health and Safety in the workplace (FORGE general training and FORBAS low-risk training) and on Privacy (Privacy Guidelines and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), does not in any way constitute an employment relationship and does not entitle the participant to any assessment for the purposes of public competitions. Part-time collaboration activity (150-hour employment opportunities)
Pursuant to Article 11 of Legislative Decree no. 68 of 29 March 2012, the amount of student collaboration is tax-exempt up to an amount of € 3,500.00 for each calendar year. If in the same year fees are paid for services carried out in different years for a total amount exceeding the above limit, the excess will be subject to IRPEF (e.g. collaboration carried out in 2025 paid in 2026 + collaboration carried out and paid in 2026).
A CU form will be issued for the remuneration paid (both exempt and any amount subject to IREPF):
- the exempt part must not be declared for IRPEF purposes (Form 730 or Modello Redditi Persone Fisiche), while it must be reported in any ISEE, ICEF, etc. declarations
- the part subject to IRPEF (if any) must be reported in the eventual income tax return (Form 730 or Modello Redditi Persone Fisiche) and will concur to form the income limit to be considered "fiscally dependent".
