Catering FAQ
The service is reserved for students enrolled at the University of Trento and in advanced training courses of other institutes/universities and facilities other than Unitn (including, for example: Conservatory, Trentino Art Academy, SSML, Advanced Training) and students enrolled in university and postgraduate courses in the health field in the province of Trento, as well as teachers and PhD students.
Special agreements are also in place in the cities of Rovereto and San Michele.
Access to the canteens is also granted to the Students enrolled in courses of the health field who are formally enrolled at the University of Verona, at the same prices as students enrolled at the University of Trento.
Variations are possible only in the case of food intolerances. It is possible to check the menu and the allergens for each proposed dish through the Opera4U App.
No, the use of our canteens is for those who buy their meals in the canteen.
No, it is not possible to share the meal with another user (even if they have an electronic wallet).
The electronic wallet is a feature of the Opera4U app, a sort of rechargeable virtual bank account that can be used to pay for meals in university canteens. All transactions, remaining credit and all purchases made by the user are registered in the electronic wallet.
The old system does not allow the transfer of any remaining credit to the electronic wallet. However, it will be possible to use the remaining credit until October 31. After that date, any unused credit cannot be refunded or transferred.
If you are a Unitn user, you have to log in using your university credentials, not using other email addresses. This will automatically activate the app.
If you fall into one of these categories, you will have to wait for Unitn to register and validate your institutional address (@studenti.unitn.it) before you can proceed with authentication!
Starting from the 2025-2026 academic year, the electronic wallet feature is used to access to restoration services.
The previous tool was the Opera Student Card, which is now limited to specific university services, including:
– access to toilets at the buildings of Sociology, Lettere and at CLA;
– opening the barriers at the Engineering building;
– use of university lockers.
If you do not need to use these services, you do not need to collect the card.
The student card can be collected at the Opera office in Via della Malpensada no. 140. You can access the offices by appointment via the Opera4U app. To obtain a student card, you must be enrolled and have an identity document with you.
If you lose your card, Opera Universitaria is not liable for any misuse of the Card by other students. Click here to request a duplicate
