Students can choose from a wide range of opportunities offered in the “Call for Part-Time Work – Opera Universitaria” (Call for Applications for Part-Time Work, 2025-26 Academic Year): reception services, information and support for submitting applications for benefits at the information desks, administrative tasks in the offices, verification and supervision of housing facilities, support for the organization and implementation of cultural activities and events promoted by the institution, collaboration in the Mediation service, fire prevention support services at the S. Bartolameo and Mayer Student Halls, supervision and supervision in the gyms of the S. Bartolameo Student Hall (red gym and yellow gym), and concierge services at the Mayer Student Hall.
Opera may involve students who have participated in the “Call for Part-Time Collaboration for the 2025-26 academic year (University of Trento) – Annex 5 – Specialized Activities” in specific activities related to projects promoted by various departments of the institution. They are ranked according to the selection process and possess a CV and/or specific skills.
The duration of collaborations with Opera varies from a minimum of 150 to a maximum of 200 hours, with the exception of sector “B – Mediation” and collaborations related to “Specialized Activities,” for which a maximum of 350 hours may be envisaged for specific service requirements.
The hourly salary, exempt from personal income tax pursuant to Legislative Decree No. 68 of March 29, 2012, is determined based on the type of collaboration and can range from a minimum of €6.00 to a maximum of €9.00.
Part-time collaboration, which requires mandatory attendance and passing the final tests of the online courses on Workplace Health and Safety (FORGE general training and FORBAS low-risk training) and Privacy (Guidelines on Privacy and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)), does not constitute an employment relationship and does not constitute consideration for public competitions. Opera Universitaria annually offers part-time collaboration opportunities, as part of its institutional activities, to students enrolled at the University of Trento, starting in their second year and continuing through their first year.
Pursuant to Article 11 of Legislative Decree No. 68 of March 29, 2012, the amount of student collaboration is tax-exempt up to €3,500.00 for each calendar year. If, in the same year, payments are made for services performed in different years for a total amount exceeding the above limit, the excess amount will be subject to income tax (i.e., collaboration performed in 2025 paid in 2026 + collaboration performed and paid in 2026).
For the compensation paid (both exempt and any amount subject to income tax),
the CU form will be issued:
– the exempt portion does not need to be declared for income tax purposes (form 730 or Personal Income Tax Form), but it must be reported in any ISEE, ICEF, etc. declarations.
– the portion subject to IRPEF (if any) must be indicated in the income tax return (Form 730 or Personal Income Tax Form) and will contribute to the income limit for being considered “fiscally dependent”.
To download the CU form relating to the income of the previous calendar year, you must connect directly to the following address https://webapps.unitn.it/documentidisponibili/home, using your credentials.
